Extensive practical experience in local government, state government and non-government sectors in both Australia and the United Kingdom provides a sound basis for Janet’s consultancy work. Janet has held senior positions with: VicRoads; Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind. Janet’s experience also includes positions at several Victorian public library services, Nottinghamshire County Council (UK); and Leicestershire County Council (UK). Janet’s practical experience is enhanced by expertise gained whilst a lecturer and researcher in management and information management at several universities including: University of Melbourne; Monash University; RMIT University; and University of Ballarat. Apart from her university teaching, Janet has designed, delivered and evaluated many training programmes focusing on management improvement, quality management and customer service for the public sector and for university staff. Janet’s research skills enable her to manage successful consultancies that involve the collection and analysis of information, through a range of approaches such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
